I have been asked by Boaden Catering to review the menus that have been developed for the Daycare Foodservices Division for the summer of 2008. It is with the utmost enthusiasm that I am pleased to recommended Boaden Catering’s new summer menu. Not only does this menu meet the daily requirements under the Day Nurseries Act on a daily basis but it is a menu based on home style cooking. I am also pleased to see that Boaden Catering has decided to virtually eliminate most processed foods from their menu. Not only does this make the menu more nutritionally balanced and more appealing to the eye, but it is, most of all, more appealing to the palate.

Therefore I can confidently say that these menus:

- Are nutritionally well balanced, providing a variety of foods from each of the four food groups  according to Canada’s Food Guide;

- Meet the Day Nurseries Act

- Offer a variety of foods;

- Meet the standards for colour, eye appeal and a variety of flavours

- And offer standard portions which help young toddlers to meet their daily nutrition requirements.
